Rayva Solar
Rayva Solar is making clean energy more accessible to tomorrow’s homebuyers through Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). By providing an innovative solar roof tile incorporated at the point of construction, Rayva offers homebuilders a competitive edge at a reduced construction cost and homeowners a turn-key solution for a sustainable energy system that’s ready to use upon move-in. The team additionally supports both builders and buyers in navigating tax credits for renewable energy, helping pave a path toward more people adopting solar energy at home. Rayva’s vision is to help ensure every new roof is a sleek, modern, and self-sustaining power plant, perfect for the next generation of homeowners.
How do you position an innovative solar solution to compete with industry giants and drive the market forward?
The Problem
Rayva had an innovative product and vision, but didn’t have the brand branding framework they needed to introduce the next generation of BIPV in homes and gain traction in a busy solar marketplace. While the team had some initial design work completed, Rayva’s logomark, website, and messaging didn’t reflect the brand’s differentiators or values–leaving them unable to get a seat at the table with larger or more well-known brands.
Moreover, the team faced obstacles in building trust with potential partners and overcoming existing stigmas around the solar industry at large, such as being costly, inaccessible, or partaking in predatorial sales tactics.
The Process
After kicking off the project, Majic worked closely with Rayva’s leadership to laser in on what was needed to bring the brand to life and lay a foundation for success in bringing forward the solar homes of the future. We found that a new logomark would help differentiate Rayva as a fresh, forward-thinking, and approachable brand. Our design team worked to find the perfect color, style, and overall vibe to compliment Rayva’s product and method of service.
Over three months, Majic worked with Maggie to build Nova Chief of Staff from the ground up. This full-service project included a brDrawing on key differentiators, we drafted a full messaging kit to better express Rayva’s values, accessibility, and one-of-a-kind expertise. Our copywriter collaborated with Rayva’s Co-founder/CTO, Lynne, to fine-tune language, positioning the brand as a positive disruption to the solar industry and the cutting edge of Building Integrated Photovoltaics in homes.nd naming exercise, designing a full suite of brand assets (icons, colors, etc.), drafting core messaging (mission, vision, taglines, etc.), crafting email welcome flows, and developing a polished website. With an engaging customer journey in motion, Nova officially came to life.
The next agenda item was a website. Rayva needed a sleek, modern site to house all the most important aspects of the brand: the solar tile, the integration process, info on cost/tax incentives, the environmental mission, etc. Using the new logomark and messaging, Majic created an impactful custom website to help differentiate Rayva from competitors and gain the trust of leads. Once launched, Rayva’s brand is solidified as the builder’s choice for Building Integrated Solar!
The Outcome
Rayva is now poised to stand out in a sea of other solar companies with a refined brand identity and user-friendly website. By ensuring the logomark, copywriting, and website all feel cohesive and polished, Rayva’s solar tile offering is now a credible player in the growing movement to make sustainability the standard in all new home construction.
Ready to compete with top companies, the future is bright with beautiful, accessible Rayva Solar.
